So looks like im stuck with installing pretty much the same amount of poop that i had to install before i discovered nvcleanstall, which i will never use and dont want on my machine i f i want to use my controller. If shadow play and everything it requires is not installed then the controller breaks and wont work with geforce now (thanks nvidia) Thank you for any help and hope i explained the problem clearly.Thank you !ĮDIT: After spending the last few hours testing one by one (arrgghh lol) i think i have found the culprit and it is shadow play (and all of its dependencies) So my question is,does anyone know what else is being installed with the "original" nvidia installer that allows the controller to work with geforcenow so that i can install that component also from within nvcleanstall from the geforce experience section of the installer? When i look in the list of other components in nvcleanstall and read the description of each one,i cant seem to see what else i need to install. So short of ticking each box one by one and installing and the reinstalling with the next box ticked and so on and so forth im not sure what i can do. The problem i have is that after using nvcleanstall and selecting only the components i need (or think that i need) my controller is not recognised to play games in geforcenow.I thought i could get away with with just the shield controller drivers but this did not work,so then i tried with geforce experience and the few "dependencies" that it requires, but same thing again,it makes the controller not function with geforcenow gameplay. Unfortunately however after trial and error,i found that the only way to install the drivers i need for the controller to work meant i had to install geforce experience (which i dont want and dont use) then i came across nvcleanstall.amazing!

I use geforcenow to play some games on my laptop and i use my shield tv controller plugged in to play games with, but i didnt want all the bloat that came with the drivers. I have come across a problem which i hope someone might be able to help with please. Hi,new here and first can i say thank you for this tool.I have been looking for a way to get rid of some of the bloat when installing drivers for ages and have no clue how i never found this before in the past ! So thank you!
